Army Medical Appeal

Hi all, i was delayed from joining for a year due to my hearing/tinnitus so i sent in an appeal with hearing test results proving that i have perfectly fine hearing. After sending in this appeal they've reconsidered delaying me for a year and have now outright refused my entry in the armed forces due to me seeing a tinnitus specialist 5 years ago.

Apparently every member of the board have unanimously agreed i shouldnt be allowed to join so i cant send in any more appeals.

I dont understand why i've been denied entry over my hearing when my hearing is proven to be fine, does anyone have any advice on how to proceed, im in shock that i've been denied for such an absurd reason.

'Being in the Army can be challenging both physically and mentally. Therefore, a history of health problems or the presence of health conditions that usually don't affect your everyday life, can mean that you're not able to join'.........https://jobs.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-apply/medical/

Im fine with the health regulations but i dont understand the contradiction of proving that you have perfect hearing but then being barred due to concerns about your hearing, to me it doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately you can still have perfect hearing and tinnitus, so the hearing test itself won't affect the outcome of an Army medical bar. https://www.healthyhearing.com/report/52702-Top-10-myths-about-tinnitus
