I’m starting medicine this year and I am super nervous about it. The thing I’m worried about the most is the independent study aspect of university. I really don’t know how teaching and studying at university works. Are the exams just based on the lectures the professors give you? Or do you have to study entire textbooks? Are there specific websites that I should study from?
I really want to get top grades as well so I’m curious on how many hours should I spend studying a day or in a week? Would studying everyday for 1 or 2 hours and ramping it up for exam time be enough? Should I treat medical school as a full time job and make sure I’m in lectures and studying for 40 hours a week? I’m going into medicine with absolutely no knowledge so I would like to know everything.
