Studying mpharmacy degree before applying for medicine

Hi I just wanted to ask some advice about what people think about studying mpharmacy before studying medicine? Is that a good idea? What course do you think is best to study first if you couldn't get into medical school on the first try?

Short answer, no it is a very, very poor idea. You are wasting around 40k (know it is a student loan but a loan nevertheless) and 3 plus years of your life just to make things even more competitive for yourself later on. Literally doing nothing would be better than doing something else, if you plan on doing medicine after.

Take care,

Greg

Just gap year and resit. Doing a degree to then try to get into medicine as a graduate is a much worse idea as graduate entry medicine is considerably more competitive than standard entry medicine, and you will get next to no funding for doing standard entry medicine as a graduate. There are no situations I can think of where it's better to do another degree first with the aim of medicine, compared to taking a gap year and resitting as needed.
You mean complete 2 degrees consecutively? I’ve never understood why people want to be in education so long I’m sure they enjoy sitting in classrooms all day
