Is a kettle arrowed in the student accommodation operated by UoE?
Hello, I am a new student moving into a student accommodation from university of Edinburgh, I don't know if I could bring a kettle into my dorm? If anyone knows about the details, please share them with me. It will be very helpful. Thank you!!
Probably best to check with them, but it's pretty typical for kettles, toasters and microwaves to be provided in the student kitchenettes if you're in self-catered accommodation.
You'd probably need to check before bringing one anyway if it isn't provided, as they may need to do portable appliance testing (PAT) on it before permitting it.

depends on the dorm but in general, you should not have a kettle in your room due to it being a fire hazard, but you can use your own in the kitchen!
