Hi hana, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. By residency do you mean your living situation here during your studies? Student accommodation options will vary a lot from city to city but I'll try to provide some pointers.
Most universities have halls of residence which are accommodation buildings usually for students of that university only. Once you decide where you would like to apply to it is definitely worth finding out more about their accommodation, and you can either have a look at some of their websites or get in contact with them directly with any questions.
There are also companies which also provide accommodation of this sort in many UK cities. It's worth having a look into this yourself but Unite Students https://www.unitestudents.com/ and Student Roost https://amberstudent.com/partnergroup/student-roost are a couple of good examples.
Beyond this if you're wanting an idea of what life is like for students in UK cities you can have a look around this website where there will be lost of threads discussing this. Unibuddy is also a really good resource for asking students about specific universities and cities they're studying in: https://unibuddy.com/
