Is it worth applying to Cambridge?

I received A* A* A and I’m currently on a gap year. I’m thinking of applying to Cambridge for English, but the process seems so daunting. I don’t know if I stand a chance and the idea of an interview seems so daunting. I also don’t know what essays to submit. Does anyone have any advice or anything to add?

Presumably you meet the subject requirements (if any). If so with A*A*A achieved you will most likely be interviewed at the least.

In terms of submitted work just look at which ones you think express your writing and literary criticism skills the best. Ideally also that got a good result but the one with the highest numerical mark from the A-level syllabus may not necessarily be the best essay, so keep that in mind :smile:
