want to change uni course
i have applied and am starting a psychology course in cardiff university this month however i have decided this wasn’t the right decision and i instead wanted to study computer science, how would i go about this? should i just apply for computer science courses for next year and drop out of psychology after year 1 or is there any possible way i could change my course last minute without any relevant application/personal statement etc.
Have you asked cardiff if they’ll let you switch?
Only their admissions team can answer this one for you. You need to get in touch with them as soon as you can to discuss this, if the course is not full they may accept a transfer but no guarantees and it would depend on if the entry requirements are different.
There would also be no benefit in studying Psychology for a year then changing as you won't just be able to switch and you'd need to start fresh. Your also just be wasting a year of finance.
