Hello!! I'm applying for zoology with entomology!
I wont be attending any open days because of how far it is from my current location (travel is insanely expensive)
Im feeling really uneasy and sceptical about starting uni, i might not even go anymore!! I'm mostly scared of being cramped up in a small room and not making any friends

There’s a harper Adams group chat on WhatsApp and Snapchat for u to chat to some people joining up. I joined via a link in the harper Adams Facebook group. This might put u at ease if u can start talking to some others.

I absolutely understand your worry. I teach here at Harper Adams but I'm hugely proud to have taught our new Student's Union President, the brilliant Daisy Douglas! We have a 'welcome week' before term starts and I am confident you'll get swept up in the social side because of the type of institution that this is! Of course, if you need space, you'll be left alone, but as lifelong person who does not join in, you'll see me in the 'colour run' on Wednesday afternoon (because Daisy will make me do it!). Trust me, you'll have fun, then realise it is end of year 1 and wonder where all the time went. Harper Adams is a time machine (I seem to have been here for 27 years...).

i have applied and got an offer for veterinary nursing with placement for 2025 entry! harper isn't my firm but looking very likely if i do not get the grades i want on results day. Feeling excited to go to uni but also so nervous about living away from home!
