Oxford Brookes Physiotherapy Timetable

Hi all,

I am considering applying to Oxford Brookes Physiotherapy course in a couple of years time. I would be a mature student (30yo currently) and have two children. This is therefore a very crucial decision in my life.

I was wondering what was the Physiotherapy course weekly timetable like? I have many friends who went to Brookes and did many different courses and I know that Wednesday is usually sports day, is that still the case? Do you have lectures/clinic every day, all day?

I am just trying to get an insight into what my week would look like, as obviously, with a family to look after I would have quite a few things to juggle.

Would anyone please be able to help?

Many thanks,
Nikki

Hi @nikkithoms,

We’re delighted to hear you’re interested in the BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy!

This course is taught face-to-face with around 14 contact hours per week and a yearly workload of about 1,200 hours. Classes run Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, and include lectures, seminars, practicals, assessments, and academic advising. As you progress through your studies, your contact hours will increase, especially during placements and work-based learning.

Your timetable will vary depending on your modules, and as a full-time student, you can expect to be on campus 3–5 days a week.

Every Wednesday, all students and staff can access our Headington and Harcourt Hill gym facilities for free as part of our Wellness Wednesday initiative! With fewer afternoon lectures, it's a great opportunity to fit some exercise into your schedule 🏋️

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below 👇️ Alternatively, you can call our Admissions Team at +44 1865 535000 for more info!

Best wishes,

Clare
