Declaring income to HMRC

Hi I am currently tutoring and earn about 184 pounds per month.
Do I have to show my income to HMRC. I am confused about the process.
Could someone please explain?

If this is your only income I would say probably not. You can make £1,000 per year profit without having to submit a self assessment for tax liability to be calculated. So if you can figure out that your annual income is below this, after expenses, you’re good. And even if it’s a tad more, who’s to know. It is also well below the thresholds for paying income tax and national insurance should you do a self assessment

Yes this is my only income
@Zarek is perfectly correct.
You can earn up to £12570 per year before you have to pay any income tax so that even if you did end up doing a tax return, you'd not have to pay any tax.
You can choose to either offset your actual business expenses against your earnings to reduce the taxable income or use the trading allowance of £1000 (you can't have both) which would drastically but the taxable profits.
Either way, HMRC aren't going to be that interested in your affairs, but have a look at this site:
