Posting birthday wishes on instagram stories
Hi,
Why do people think others want to know when they make an instagram story wishing someone a happy birthday. They will post a photo of the person and them together in the photo and share it on stories.
I don't get why this is necessary. Why not just message the person privately and send them the photo or just send them a message?
I used to think its just only girls who do this as they are more likely to want attention from social media, but I saw there is a few guys did that too and wondered if its all to do with wanting attention?
Do you think social media has just become too personal now? People wanting to share every bit of their lives with people they might not even know all because they want to get that validation and attention that is so 'desperately needed' in today's generation
