Some factors that may affect planning and organisation of study would be a lack of time management skills, potentially some learning difficulties, responsibilities at home (if having to look after relatives) or perhaps employment commitments.
Take a look online, too. You may get more of an idea of barriers to effective planning and organisation ☺️
