can i still apply to a good university if i failed english language?

im currently looking at doing either a computing or physics course at a Russel group university and was wondering if i may be rejected due to my gcses, i got a 3 in english lan and a 4 in lit and am concerned that it may damage my chances.

Check out the GCSE grade requirements for specific courses. I think the 4 in lit would be enough for many but not all.
If in doubt, contact the admissions team for the course you are considering

You’d also need to check whether there’s any university-wide English requirement. Some unis may ask for a 4 as a minimum across all courses.

Your unlikely to get an offer from any RG university without grade 4 GCSE in English Language. Resit it. You might well need it for jobs anyway.
