Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I applied for a PhD in Economics, but a few days later, they informed me that my application has now been reviewed by the Postgraduate Admissions Committee, who, unfortunately, do not think that your prior training is sufficient for the demands of the course. However, they were impressed by my application and asked if I would be interested in being considered for the MPhil in Economic Research (for which I had also applied before submitting the PhD application). I agreed, but my application for the MPhil is still under review by the department. Does this mean I am rejected ?
