I'm in year 13, i've only just started using a laptop in school for my computer science NEA. Other than that, i never use one in sixth form. I either use my phone or a school laptop. But if you think you need to have one then i guess it just depends on the type of brand. You could get one of those laptops where it turns into a tablet? Then its a combo of both. All i would say that it's not the end of the world if you don't have one, i wouldn't call it a necessity

don't lug a laptop around if your achool has the resources- keep it at home> I have a mac and imac that has never left my house. I tend to do past paper qs/hw at school during my frees and then making notes/ flashcards at home
