Hi

I am on the course for this September. I have had friends attend the course and said it was a good course and great tutors.

Hey, I am also starting this course in September, I am a bit nervous as I will be a mature student! Also, has anyone applied for their student finance? I tried to apply today. Am I right in understanding that we can only apply for £9250 and we have to pay the rest out of our own pocket? Thanks

I'm a mature student too.
I have applied to study the Postgraduate so it's covered by student finance. I think you have to add the extra for the masters route.

2 months ago. I heard back in 2 weeks. if you ensure to send all your docs/references etc, you’ll hear back fast. The last check was my personal statement x

Hello, I am really confused, you can get funding to cover the pgdip? is it not still 12 grand a year tuition fees?

The pre-reg masters courses will be eligible for undergraduate funding - both tuition fee and maintenance loans. However, the undergraduate tuition fee loan is £9,535, which won't cover the annual fee of £12,693, so you will have to pay the difference from your maintenance loan or the NHS LSF.

I'm not sure if the pgdip is eligible for postgrad or undergraduate funding. Make a post in the Ask SFE forum and it will be answered by an official SFE/SLC rep:

Hey there!

The MSc Occupational Therapy at LSBU is a two-year full-time course starting in September, and you’ll need at least a 2:2 degree plus GCSEs in English and Maths. It is quite competitive, mainly because there’s an interview and they look closely at your personal statement and background. The course is popular and fills up fast. That said, student satisfaction is really high—recent stats showed 92% overall satisfaction and strong feedback on teaching and support. If you’re well-prepared and genuinely interested, you’ve got a good chance.
