International students: Failed resit core modules

I've encountered difficulties with two core modules, resulting in a score of 45 out of 100 for each. Fortunately, I've been granted the opportunity to resubmit them. However, I'm concerned about the possibility of not achieving a passing grade on the second attempt. If I don't pass, will I be required to retake both modules? Additionally, considering my BRP expiration date is December 31, 2024, and I completed these modules from October 2023 to December 2023, could this situation affect my status? Furthermore, if retaking is necessary, will there be a fee associated with it?

If you fail a resit of core units, then there are usually two options, programme dependent: you might be asked to repeat the entire year, or you might be withdrawn from the degree programme (this would be the case in my department).

I implore you to have a discussion with your personal tutor/academic advisor about the practicalities of your degree regulations in this case.
