This thread=
1. Girls who feel they can't get hench guys who will say they prefer skinny guys
2. Girls who are honest and admit to prefering hench guys.
.

Wow, I'm so glad blokes like you know everything about girls. /sarcasm
Doubt many girls care - I go to the gym a lot (just to keep fit and I enjoy it) and I'd call myself pretty muscley (big arms/chest, broad) - hasn't got me any girls yet haha  I think most girls aren't particularly bothered by that really

Neg rep is coming for this. It's coming, I know it is.

Most of the people on this thread are out of shape, ignorant and arrogant - ignorant in that they have no awareness of physical health and its benefits, arrogant in their view of themselves and how they turn their noses up at people who try to better themselves.

Whereas the people who go to the gym are always perfect pictures of humility, as evidenced on this thread.

Go read a book.
Well, my boyfriend is it a bit of a fitness fanatic, and when he was at his physical best 12 months ago, he'd taken a couple of photo's on his phone looking into the mirror which I think is vain as f**k. He hasn't trained for sometime now - maybe months - but he still has an amazing physique on him. I have to say though, that I prefer it if a boyfriend wasn't so focused about his physique/wanting a 6 pack, because it's all in the name of vanity and the opposite sex. He's taken his shirt off a couple of times playing footy in the park, but I guess he does that to show off a little bit.

So yes, i prefer it if a boyfriend wasn't so vain and was just comfortable in his own skin...

It would be really hypocritical of me to care, because if I don't work out, why should a guy?

(Oops, I'm making myself sound really slobby!)

Probably because you can't get a guy who is buff.

Yes, that's exactly why. Because there's no possible way in the world that a girl might prefer an average guy to a muscle-ripped human Hulk.

I go to the gym everyday. Pretty much to fill my day. I don't have some delusion where going to the gym will suddenly make me some godly figure. I just go for the sake of going.
They are guys who never visit the gym.

Personally I'm going through a phase of loving the 'buffed up' body type, which sucks because guys like that are generally out of my league...
However in the past, it hasn't put me off, and I'm sure most other girls wouldn't care either.

Umm excuse me that is the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard. Unless the photos on your student room profile arnt you then you are defiantly in the league of a muscley man or pretty much any man.

Why do you care what other people are doing? Do what you want, and stop blabbering on about it. It's become an obsession.

I know people that have never visited a gym in their lives, yet they have an amazing physique because of their genes. They are also pretty wealthy.

Strange how that correlates. Must be others factors too such as diet and early upbringing.

Yeah, I'm quite big, and I actually win quite a lot of games, so no, I'm not actually a looser.

Don't bother offering an argument. Clearly, your point was so self evidently correct that it did not need justifying.
In fact, in future, why not just not say anything at all.

indeed.

can you post an example of someone with a "good physique" who you can say definitely did not get it by going to the gym? tia

Not really because most famous people go to the gym, and I'm not gonna post pictures of my friends on the interwebs, that'd be weird.
