Too broad a question. Do you mean households where both adults work full time jobs? How much time is 'enough'?

Women have all the time in the world. Men however, do not.

It's definitely less than it used to be. But maybe children grow up learning to be more independent - there are pros and cons.

I don't think it's necessarily an issue of the parents having "enough time" with their children, though I'm sure that is the case in many families, but children spend a lot of their time away from the parents. I've always used my computer or laptop in the living room with my parents but I know a lot of people who grew up in their rooms or in a study, spending a significant part of their time away from the parents, only seeing them at dinner time.
