Thoughts on female escorts

Personally I think it's sad how men (or women?) pay women for sex. I think sex should be something special and not something you can buy and sell like groceries!

By that logic are you also dismayed by casual sex of any kind?
sex is better when its with someone special but that doesn't mean theres anything wrong with casual sex.
sex is a form of pleasure and sustainance. people pay for foods, sweets, theme park rides. so what's the difference in people paying for sex? no one frowns down at people paying for back massages, so whats wrong with paying for a penis massage  seriously though there's nothing wrong with escorts and paying for sex as long as its consensual and no one is being forced into anything. I think its sad seeing self righteous people acting like theres something wrong or shameful about the sex industry. the idea that sex "should be something special" is a flawed social construct that has no factual basis in real life.
sex is sex. its what it is, nothing more nothing less.

People look down on the sex industry because it's usually forced. I doubt anyone wants to be a prostitute when they're little. There's often violence and coercion involved. Just imagine your sister was an escort, still happy and supportive of the sex industry?

Why? I think it's sad that people invest so much of their valuable time in trying to appease others. They spend hours in bars and clubs trying to impress someone who may not even show them the light of day. If they end up in a relationship they then spend more time catering their lives to these people rather than living their own life to the fullest. Giving up that is far worse than having casual sex or paying for sex. There is nothing more embarrassing than seeing a whole load of hapless young adult males looking desperate in a club trying to get some attention. They'd be better off hiring an escort.

The question is, why do you need to be related to someone to care about them? you feel the need to ask 'imagine my sister' as though that somehow makes a difference. why would i want something for my sister and not want it for anyother human being? I dont wish forced trade on anyone, which is why i said "there is nothing wrong as long as its consensual'.
not all of the sex industry is forced, some is and some isnt.
forced labour goes into clothing industry, electronics, the computer or phone you're using is the result of slave labour in poor countries with people being paid breadcrumbs and working in dangerous conditions. you think they dreamt of doing it when they were little? Yet i dont see anyone looking down on those industries.

i dont blame you, its typical hypocrisy. As long as it benefits you you'll turn the other cheek but if its something like sex trade which has no benefit to you like clothes or food then you can turn your nose up and act like its beneath you.

Blah blah blah with all your special bull. The fact is for 99% of us it just satisfies our sexual urges.

I agree. Ultimately it is a matter of choice, the choice of whether you would like to meet with female escorts or not. You shouldn't be judged by it.

I like your first point although its clear she wasnt just trying to get her point across by trying to involve some emotion.

good point with the production part I never thought about it like that..two wrongs dont make a right tho..and maybe we should be more concious of how our products we consumer are produced.

prostitution is something very graphic..very controversial hence people are gonna question it more..as a result the fact that many are forced etc is evident. thats the unacceptable part in terms of the consumer

Its saying that they're willing to take the risk that this woman doesn't have issues or whatnot...forced into it.

besides it attracts a certain sort especially because its illegal.

so yeh they will be judged.the prostitutes on the other hand..they should be respected a bit more and helped..
Each to their own. If someone wants to make money selling their body and they don't mind, then who are we to stop them? Similarly, if someone doesn't care about the emotions and is willing to pay to just have sex, then again, who are we to stop them?

The only time when prostitution becomes a problem, in my eyes, is when there's more going on than meets the eye ( giggity) - when you start delving into the realms of trafficking, abuse and extortion, or prostitution out of desperation, then that, obviously, is a terrible terrible thing.
Completely agree with the above comment, it is a personal choice if someone wishes to become an escort and get paid handsomely for doing so, and in reality there will always be a demand for them. However you are opening a can of worms when looking at the dareker elements of the industry.

No but there is a difference in normal slave labour and forced sex labour. It's not like sex is currency! Would you prefer to be raped or mugged? Forced sex is nothing like forced labour...

Escorts and prostitutes are not necessarily the same thing.

An escort can be a woman who is paid to accompany a man to a event or even just to be at an event to bring feminine charm. Not sure how I feel about this - a little sad but understandable. I did once, fleetingly, contemplate seeking a (very pretty) escort to attend a ball with me, at which I knew my recently ex gf would be present. Bitter and sad...

As to prostitution, oldest trade and not likely to be eliminated, but I feel it has many negative aspects of women exploited, financially or educationally deprived. Can't imagine it's many women's choice of career and I don't like the thought and would be ashamed if I ever went down this road.
