Has it sunk in yet?

Labour won't be ****ing up Britain and the conservatives will be mending her for a whole five years and hopefully ever after unless UKIP can get in of course

If you accept the Conservative platform, in what way would have Labour destroyed the country? Their economic programmes are broadly identical, except the latter allows for very moderate concessions to the welfare of the worst-off, and would probably not so violently ransack public services. As much as I would prefer that Labour programme, its economic philosophy was never particularly distinct from that of the Conservatives: that's half the reason Miliband's campaign was so uninspiring.
Chances of seeing a Labour majority government sooner or later = 100%.

Chances of the Conservatives forming a majority government after Labour's next government = 100%.

That's how this **** works. People will become disillusioned with the current government no matter how well they are doing. In five years time you'll be hearing the same **** again.

Pretty much what you've said. It's funny how short-term people's memories are.

Even if they get independence, sooner or later values and attitudes in England will shift. So long as people have the choice, if you can do enough to piss them off, they will vote you out. Case in point- the liberal democrat result today.
I think Farage will come back, because he said he's standing for the party's leadership elections this September. So yh..
There is something which Tories have forgot about. Take a look at London. Why oh why is London all red? Perhaps its because London workers where hit the most by the benefit cap.

Keep dreaming lefty
Here come the welfare cuts, the unfair harassment on international students, privatization, and ofcourse, tuition fee hikes.

We all bottled it and bought the horror stories - a plausible explanation imho for a con majority.

London being full of work shy immigrants and urban chavs would vote red wouldn't they?

London is far from all red. Theo Tories lost one seat all told there. Plus, Boris is still mayor.
