Does anyone in this thread actually support united?
Had a look at a couple of YouTube videos and I've found out he can speak English (better than Depay actually) which can of course make it easier for him here.

Di Marzio has confirmed it just now. Sounds ridculous but he is the Godfather of transfers.

Honestly it's happening 100%. Was confident an hour ago. It's now on Sky Germany, Sports Bild, Bild, Sport1 confirmed. Reckon it'll hit BBC tomorrow.

Most Germans speak very good English. Schweini's 8 minutes in.

This might be wrong but doesn't Ozil still hardly speak a word?

Most German people can speak English decently as it is compulsory in secondary school, like in Holland, afaik.

Schweinsteiger probably speaks English with his girlfriend Ana Ivanovic too, I can't imagine she'd be well versed in German.

This is from his time at Real Madrid and his English isn't that bad lol. He probably just isn't very confident in speaking another language publicly.

Well there's always going to be exceptions isn't there  He spoke a bit of English when he joined Arsenal, idk what he's like now.

Either we're very confident of keeping DDG or we're lining up a replacement. No way would we sell both.

AS say we've already enquired about Jan Oblak. They also say LvG sees him as a bigger prospect than De Gea.

Hazard is better, for sure. Stats aren't everything, just an indicator.

Then he's crazy, considering Oblak is less than 3 years younger and was the 2nd choice keeper at Atléti until Moyà got injured. At the same age De Gea had earned himself a move to Old Trafford and proven everything in Spain, and even then his career has taken an astronomical rise since. No chance Oblak is getting anywhere near his level, good keeper though.

I've to make a note of the page 278 for when Schweini is either injured for 6 months or we get out pressed by McCarthy and Besic, and it's QOTY time...

It's huge in terms of immediate impact but its another older player in your aging midfield (he turns 31 before the new season starts).

Who drops out for him to play? Would it be Carrick or a further forward player?

Honestly couldn't see it happening when we were first linked to him but now that it's confirmed we're getting him, I can't believe it. Great signing.

I imagine that he'll be rotated with Carrick with Hererra and Scheinderling (if signed)as the other two in midfield. Fellaini will come off the bench and score the winner against Barcelona in the CL final.
What a signing Bastian will be. Many of us have high expectations for him but he'll probably do okay. He's still a quality CM and he'll add experience and a winning mentality to our squad. Add in Schneiderlin and we'll be fine in midfield.
