No. If you need to show off by doing that, it sort of implies that you're not very interesting or you're relying on what you own to get attention

I'm not a girl, but I can't think of anything more annoying. It's really loud, it's a horrible noise and I'm generally zoned out if I'm by a traffic light or walking down the street so it's usually quite a frightening way to snap back to reality. And then I have to live with the shame of being surrounded by people who just saw me jump. :hmpf:
