Looks is pretty much the reason anyone talks to anyone outside their house. It's a shame to think that caring about hygiene and appearance is now shallow.
I'd still talk to you if I didn't find you attractive, it just wouldn't go any further than that. Isn't that how it is for most people?

That's basically what I was trying to say, yes.

I see too many threads on here of people struggling in a relationship because they don't find their partner attractive. They'll often say he/she is a nice person, but they're just not attracted to them physically. You often wonder how the relationship started, really.

I think both women and men share the mindset that you'd have to be attractive from their point of view to date however men generally find the average woman more attractive than women find the average man, so whilst looks can become #1 on some lists from women, it can fall (for the same reason) to #2 or #3 on a man's list.
