'Isolation' isn't really a factor in my opinion, but as someone else said there is a lot to do on campus, but if you want a more real-world-experience then go for Warwick. You'll be cooking for yourself, you'll meet a wide range of people from many different backgrounds at a modern campus. Durham is good too, but I am put off by the college system and how it is trying to be like Oxbridge. In my opinion, Oxbridge colleges is an outdated system anyway, and the formal dinners, gowns, etc are a bit unnecessary - this is the 21st century.
yes i was rejected from oxford, but even if I had gone I would still not appreciate the gowns and the formal dinners, that's not what teenagers are like in the 21st century
