It's called dermatilomania, a form of OCD, also known as skin picking disorder, I also suffer but I can't tell you how to stop because I haven't been able to. I tried everything: No nails False nails Plasters on the ends of my fingers and the spots Wearing gloves
This is an issue you should raise with your GP who will suggest you refer yourself to a specialist or counsellor, there you will learn better strategies and techniques to deal with those feelings instead of picking.
