What do you think of becoming a smart meter engineer?

I have recently been accepted onto a 12 week course to become a smart meter engineer. The course costs 6k but I will walk into a job starting on 24k and rising to 27k in the second year plus bonuses.

I want your opinion on whether this is a good option for me (a maths and physics graduate). Is there reasonable career progression? Is it a good investment of my money?

Thanks
Harry
despite what the recruiters aretelling you this is not an Engineer role , this is a semi skilled fitter role.

Don't do it, you're too qualified to do something like that
Still considering this role as nothing else has come up as of yet, still think it is a bad idea?

What would be my options after the rollout has finished?

Thanks
