Urgent: Making Chapati with self raising flour

I finished my all purpose flour yesterday and I really want some chapatis but my flour is finished...
Is it okay to use self raising flour?

Yeah you can, but it may become more like a naan, but it'll work!

Btw in your culture do you put potatos, carrots and small ingredients into the chapati bread?
In East Africa we do.
Also, in Uganda we have a meal called Rolex, which is egg wrapped in chapati.
It is absolutely delicious and what I'm craving!

I'm form Pakistan, and yeah we do do that sometimes. Then it's called a paratha. It's not realy mixed in though, more like stuffed. You can use a tiny bit more oil in the pan and you can make crispier versions and cheese versions too! It's basically like a rolex, desi style!

Wow! So sick. I haven't been to Pakistan but I've been to North India :smile: I stayed there for 3 weeks and I ate so much chapati and I even learnt how to make it. but I FINISHED MY FLOUR and now I'm pissed because i'm scared of the results of my self-raised chapati.

Got myself in the same situation. Found out we used a self raising flour for chapati.... 😅
