Is it me or is every song these days computerized depthless rubbish about sex, thots, drugs and money?

Oldschool rap is so much more deep and eloquent in lyrics.

Auto-tune is widely used today and it will be hard to find an artist or band making music today that isn't using it, having said that I think most artists of bygone eras would have used it if they could. It isn't like 2Pac or anyone else was against using the latest technology to make their music sound better. As for the lyrics you can find artists and bands writing deep songs if you seek them out. Not every artist nowadays is singing about sex, thots, drugs, and money. You'll be able to find shallow lyrics in bygone eras.

rap isn't the only genre of music, and there is still meaningful rap, quoting a bad rap song isn't a point, I'm sure there were plenty of bad rap back then too
