Hey I fell out of a window Tuesday morning and went to the hospital because I was in agony and couldn’t move it, they did X-ray and sent me home saying I had tissue damage. It’s been a couple of days and the pain just keeps getting worse, it’s still swollen and it’s like throb and stabbing/burning feeling and I can’t move it or wiggle my toes and I can’t put any weight on it either. Could they have missed a break on my X-ray? They gave me 30mg codeine and this still isn’t helping with the pain. Do you think I should go back and get it checked again or is it normal to not be able to move the foot after tissue damage? Thanks.

You could definitely go back if it hurts even worse
Is it your foot... You haven't said... Did you Rest Ice Compression Elevate Soft tissue damage can really hurt and can take weeks to heal Regular analgesia every 4 to 6 hours.... Check out NHS website and RICE

Yes sorry it was my foot. I have been following everything the doctor said but the pain isn’t going away. I’ve had a break before and it’s similar pain I just cannot move my foot at all from the same position. I will leave it a couple more days and go back. Thanks!
Falling out a window will be very painful even if you didn't break anything, perhaps unsurprisingly.
Phoning 111 for advice or booking an urgent GP appointment are alternatives to A&E.
Yes, I wouldn’t want to waste a&e time but I believe I need a CT scan. I had a stress fracture in the past and it didn’t come up on my first xray And they sent me home and told me to walk on it but I went back after a couple of days and had a ct scan and they put me in a cast. I think I’m just worried that the same is happening again!
Phone 111 for advice. Phoning them doesn't mean you have to go back, it just means they can give you advice on how to manage the pain, how best to help your foot heal etc.

If still painful go back to a and e... Not necessary to call 111 or gp
Have you not been to A&E before lol. Surely a same day GP appointment is preferable to sitting in a crowded vomit - filled waiting room for 4 hours with no guarantee you'll get what you're after.
It depends on where you live wether a GP can request a C T scan or not and if they can then will be routine not immediate. This was an accident so go back to accident and emergency. The X-ray which was done will go to be officially reported by a radiologist which may be some by now

Yeah you’re so right I used to work at a&e and I’m telling you now it’s the last place I want to be haha! Thanks for your help anyway I think I’m just worrying but I’ll call my gp tomorrow

Yes this happened to me last time and they called me back after a couple of days to get a cast put on! I’m going to wait and call my gp tomorrow and see what they suggest first thanks!!
Nope, not necessarily. My GP can only request X-Rays and ultrasounds.
Not true in the slightest.
They're expensive and a high radiation dose so the most appropriate thing to do might be to do something else first, including specialist opinion. But GPs can request CTs if they want.
