Would you prefer to date someone more or less intelligent than yourself?

Let's say if intelligence could be quantified onto a scale and it is statistically very rare to meet someone with the exact same level of intelligence as you, would you prefer to date someone who is more or less intelligent than you (and why)? Be honest!!!
Also, how much more/less intelligent would you prefer your partner to be (e.g. a little or a lot)?

more so i can learn from them? unless they're being obnoxious or weird about it then it doesn't really matter in the end. besides how do u know someone is "more" intelligent than you? surely there will be things you know better than them and vice versa

Idrc just not someone as dumb as cardi b
Suppose hypothetically you chose some way to quantify intelligence. It might be rare to find someone with the exact same intelligence as you, but you might find lots of people who lie in a suitably chosen interval centred on your own intelligence.
same or more
Great to know that most women” are up to your standards

Yes. How does intelligence have that much to do with a relationship..?
i think i would prefer more intelligent
but not to where they are snobby and think they know everything
but to where we can learn something new together everyday
I want a partner who is on my wavelength, but can challenge me too. Someone who is way less intelligent than me wouldn't be able to do that.
i'd go with more, but i do believe there are many different types of intelligent
Same or more. Being around dumb people irritates me.
I don't care much as long as they understand me and I understand them to some degree (not necessarily in one's specialist area).
Okay well, I probably want someone around the same area of intelligence, but at the same time I want them to be less intelligent so I can finally feel smart.

Intelligence is an attractive trait. So presuming the person fancies the pants off you and is not intolerably arrogant then it’s only good

Quite a lot actually, especially when it comes to compatability. I guess by intelligence, I mean being knowledgeable. Some people might be intimidated/put off by the prospect of dating someone who is more knowledgeable, whereas others would find it endearing.
For example, I enjoy learning so would prefer to date someone who is smarter than me. It's not the only factor in relationships of course, but it's still relatively important, just like personality, physical traits etc.

Okay, thank you for rephrasing my original question. You can start your new job as a translator on Monday. :h:

If she doesn't score at least 145 on the IQ test it ain't happening.
Yes but they can't be cocky about it or look down on me. If I don't understand anything then they should explain it nicely :yep:
Honestly I’d say less but not a lot less, just a little. I wanna be the best

Don't ask me why though:tongue:
