Great to see you're looking ahead at your future career and considering London College of Fashion.
The requirements for Fashion Public Relations are as follows:

One or a combination of the following accepted full level 3 qualifications.

A Level Passes at Grade C or above (preferred subjects include English, a foreign language and Media Studies);
Merit at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design;
Merit, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma (preferred subjects Art & Design);
Merit, Pass at UAL Extended Diploma;
Access Diploma or 96 new UCAS tariff points from the Access to HE Diploma;
96 new UCAS tariff points (equivalent to 240 old UCAS tariff points) from a combination of the above qualifications or an equivalent full Level 3 qualification;
or equivalent EU or non-EU qualifications such as International Baccalaureate Diploma;
and Five GCSE passes at grade A*-C or grade 9-4, with grade C (grade 4) or above in English.


So as long as you're able to demonstrate you passion and interest in fashion specifically in your personal statement and the written piece you are requested to do as part of the application process a BTEC in Business should put you in a good position.

Since a creative portfolio is not required, what will be the written piece we are meant to write? Also, will the BA(Hons) Creative Direction for Fashion at LCF still require a portfolio?

The written piece for BA (Hons) Fashion Public Relations and Communication is stated on the website as:

'A 500 word written piece supported by visuals about your favourite brand. Explain why it is your favourite brand, how the brand communicates with their audience and why you think it is effective. We encourage you to be as creative as you wish with the layout. This will be collected as a PDF document via PebblePad, our online portfolio collection tool.'

For BA (Hons) Creative Direction for fashion you will be required to submit a creative portfolio. This will be via PebblePad which should include a number of images of your work. You can upload a maximum of 30 images which best shows your work – please note however that you do not have to provide this exact number. PebblePad refers to ‘images’ when you upload your work - think of each 'image' as a page in your physical portfolio.


For this course your portfolio should show evidence of: drawing / presentation skills; examples of creative visual imagery; research skills; experimentation; and engagement with technology for image production.

For the PR and Communication entry requirement, when they say "500 word written piece" do they mean hand written or can it be typed out as well?
