Do you take a desktop computer to university?

Do people take desktop computers to university or do they only take laptops?
Depends on the individual really; most of the people I've met have taken laptops. I've only come across two individuals who have taken desktop computers, and even then they took a laptop as well as the desktop. The main reason I can think of is convenience, ability to take the laptop to the library and do work there/make notes in lectures.

I'll take a mechanical computer that ****ing Charles Babbage would be proud of. You're doing it wrong if it actually fits in your room!
Most people I know don't even buy desktops for their own house anymore, to be honest (unless they're planning to use them as extreme game consoles or something like that). The portability of a laptop comes in handy on many occasions.

I'm a gamer, so my desktop is definitely coming with me!
Sometimes I wish I had a laptop / a laptop as well, for the convenience and portability but as I had to choose one or the other I'd rather more power for my money anyday.
ye if you actually use computers for things other than microsoft word you're going to bring a desktop lol
