It depends on you really. If you're that desperate, by all means go for a prostitute/escort as I'm sure you could easily lie about your age and they wouldn't have a clue. It might be slightly taboo but plenty of men do it because they need to. However if you're prepared to wait a while and put the extra effort into meeting the right girl, getting into a stable relationship with her and then having sex - respect to you.

It's entirely your choice - you need to decide what sex means to you and whether or not you're willing to give up the emotional connection as well as money (as mentioned above). How would you see yourself afterwards - would you feel guilty or relieved? I personally would go for the escort because my relationships never work out, but you need to ask yourself if sex is more important than a relationship. Soliciting is actually the business of being in a public place for the purposes of selling sex on the part of the tart or by kerb crawling/approaching on foot in a public place on the part of the mug punter.

It's an offence to buy sexual services from someone who you don't have a reasonable belief is 18+.

There's no specific age for being the person buying, so the normal age of consent rules apply.

Most transactions don't involve 'soliciting' because that's just when it happens in person in a public place. Arranging a booking over the phone / internet / visiting a brothel etc don't count.
