Hello, anyone waiting for confirmation to study History at Cardiff? Also, anyone else LOVE socialising / drinking / music but HATES grubby nightclubs? I am concerned how this passionate hate of mine is going to serve me during freshers' week...

I'm not a fan of clubs either, though I do like meeting people so it shouldn't be a problem!

Btw anyone else in Talybont Court House 3 doing Human and Social Sciences?

Hi, so I've just found out that I'm going to be starting my course Adult Nursing in September! I was supposed to be starting in March but they changed my offer on ucas so I was just wondering if anyone else was going to be studying Adult Nursing in September as well? It would be nice to know some people before we start in September haha.

I dropped a grade (ABB) so I was very happy to have been accepted! Can't wait to start now (might regret saying that when I actually have to start working again...). Well done you! :h:
Congrats to everyone who got a confirmed offer from Cardiff

Ah that's awesome 😁 well done to you too! I know I was thinking the same! I'm ridiculously happy now but I'm sure it'll wear off when we have to start revising again! 😂

Hey! I'm starting Adult Nursing in September aswell !
Hi guys, I will be starting at Cardiff in september but I am slightly aprehensive about freshers...

The reason being is I do not drink at all, and thus I hate going out clubbing. I will make an effort to try and go out but Im worried I am going to be the only one!

anyone else feeling the same way?

I don't drink at all either (well, currently anyway) and have never been clubbing so it's all entirely new to me! I've got the freshers fortnight paper parties wristband and am weighing up any other freshers things so I'm throwing myself in the deep in quite a bit! I can't offer much advice but I can say that you won't be alone... unless we go to different events... nah there will be quite a few people who won't be drinking (there'll be a minority but still a sizeable group)

There's a fair few quieter pubs/bars in town & down the bay and I highly doubt you're going to be the only one who isn't drinking. Either way I would recommend trying out the clubs just for the experience, you don't have to drink to have a good night out and if you don't enjoy it you know not to go back there :P

Thanks!! Im not going to buy a wristband, I will just pay for individual venues when I get to Cardiff because I know that it isnt really my scene!!

I can still go out and not drink i suppose.
