quick help for clothes shop job (+++rep)
hi, i wanna apply for a job at a clothes shop and i need to do a cover sheet (or something) saying why i wanna work in retail and why a clothes shop
please can soneone give me some pointers as i have no idea what to write
the clothes shop is quite premium, quite expensive, more of a boutique than high street, also it has a very individual style, it is fairly big but its more of a helping-out kinda shop rather than just stand at the counter.

If the focus is on moving about, helping people etc, then you want to mention that you have customer service skills, and give an example of a time when you have done this. Also, the service element implies that you will be helping people with fashion, so maybe try to find out what the trends are this season (or, more specifically, the type of clothes the shop is stocking right now), so that you show you are able to provide a specialist service.

Hi, I work in a 'premium brand' clothes shop.
Focus on customer service, what you think good customer service is, how you would provide it, focus on customer satisfaction, encouraging sales etc. Demonstrate your skills in communication, customer service etc. State and exemplify.
^^^ i dont even know what customer service is
Smile, be polite, ask questions, show interest. Just general manners, you'll master the art of lip-biting after a couple of months working at your new position thats for sure
