Are TSR get togethers and good idea?

I really struggle making new friends because am a naturally nervous and reserved person. I have heard about these meet ups but I am not sure about meeting people online. I am worried about safety.

Do you think it is a good idea to meet up with people you have never met?

Also, do any of these "meet ups" happen in Manchester?

EDIT; The title should read - "Are TSR get togethers a good idea?"

Given that this is the only way you can meet new people, I'm going to say yes

I meant strangers online. I always worry a serial killer or worse are pretending to be friendly.
I doubt that a serial killer uses TSR

I think going to a TSR meet is easiest if people that you have spoken to regularly (online) are going, otherwise it's just a bit...

"who are you?......... oh"

If is was meeting someone on their own i would worry.

In a group, I would be just fine.

Are there any in Manchester?
It's never a good idea. Very bad idea, avoid this.

Avoid meeting the person above the above if you are female.
I think it depends on the individual, really.

That depends entirely on the type of people you will be meeting, so its always best to know a bit about them beforehand.

I just hope that the probability of serial killers to regular people is definitely outweighed  May the odds be ever in your favour!

I think that's my cue to go to bed. Good night y'all.
I always thought a serial killer was just a name given to people who eat lots of cereal.
Terrible idea. Never attend one.
