My friend dyed his hair and it looks awful. What do I do?

So basically my friend (who has recently come out as gay) is going through this experimental stage (which is totally fine) where he is dying his hair different colours like grey and black and he also got his ears pierced. But then yesterday on snapchat he sent me a pic of him with his new hair and OMG it is horrible. He has shaved his hair only on the sides and put his hair in a top knot and he has dyed his hair blond. He has very dark hair naturally so his hair isn't blond its a mix of bright orange and yellow. Idk what to do because I know for a fact that everyone is going to make fun of him tomorrow at school and it just looks so bad. Please if anyone has any advice on what he could do to make his hair not look so bad please tell me because I don't think he realises how cruel people are going to be at school. Thx
