Wait....Isn't Tamil a name? Someone asked my friend if he was Tamil I said no his name is Jordan.

Yes but I can only make conversation in Arab, but I think French is more beautiful:date:.

Girls are more impressed by me speaking French than Arabic.

Otherwise I prefer English.

It's also a name. Thamizh is the name, not Tamil. Tamil is language as well as a race, and I'm Tamil.

Imo, I like French.

Do you think in English or Tamil?

Both. I learned English when I was 2, and studied in English medium in SL, so I am fluent with both languages

My mother tongue is Bengali.
I think in English, but also think in Bengali when talking to someone in Bengali
I can speak English, Bengali (Sylheti), Bengali (Dhaka), English, Hindi
I did learn French and Urdu at school, but they have since deteriorated

Both languages. Sometimes tamil, sometimes english.
When I'm sad, I usually think in english.

So how many languages can you think in?

I'd say 4. French and Urdu are too weak to have a full-on conversation with someone. The other 4 are strong enough

How many languages do you speak in total?

Can speak Tamil and English fluently
Can read and write in Sinhala but I don't know the meanings, so I don't speak
I know some words in Hindi, and I'm trying to learn it by watching Hindi movies and listening to Hindi songs.
I know the basics in French, but I speak very rarely
I also know Malayalam, but I can neither speak it fluently nor read or write.

French, because I am half French, but I don't really speak French my dad does, but it's my father tongue.

Oh yeah and Arab also, but that's too complicated of a lingo for me. But that's my mother tongue

So I stick to basic and boring Hovis white bread English.:boring:

Your mother tongue isn't your mother's (or father's) first language - it's yours.
