It's up to the universities concerned.
You ask the universities to defer your place.
You cannot get a deferred place through Clearing. Places on offer will be for this year only.
If you want to defer a 'normal' confirmed place (UF) then email (yes, email) the Uni tomorrow once you have seen this on Track.
Remember, they do not have to say yes.
