Thought we could all put our heads together to come up with a comprehensive list of the apps to download before you come top uni in London. They don't have to be London specific but just help out with living in the city

Avaia

TubeMap -Tube routes and train times
TfL Oyster - Oyster card app
CityMapper - Plan journeys via bike, foot and public transport
CrimeTeller - Shows crimes that happen on each street/place
Twitter - Obvious one, but you should turn on alerts from the Met Police so you get updates instantly if anything happens
YPlan - shows nearby events happening
ATM Hunter - Shows where ATMs are
