22 and where/how to meet people??

Where the **** do you lot my age meet people??

I am not a university and ever since school and college, I have never made any new friends and don't speak to many new people. I am not shy and can have a conversation, but struggling to find places to go to meet people.

My work is full of people mainly older than me or not my type of people, so I want to know where to go or what to join to make new friends to form relationships.

I am thinking about going to uni just to expand my learning and also for the social life. I think it could do me good? If not I have no idea what to do for the rest of my life othet than the same old thing I am doing. I don't have anyone to move out with or go for drinks with...
