So for this degree I would need a 2:2 degree in history and experience in the class room?

Hi, I've just been accepted to complete my history pgce in September 2018 at Edge Hill.

I am nearly finished my BSc Hons in Educational Psychology and I have classroom experience from placements, although my degree is not history related, I did do history at A-level, and I have shown I have done additional reading to keep myself upto date on the national curriculum.

So overall, I think it is the choice of the university, for myself, my keen interest and a level was enough to show I would be able to do extra work to inform myself on missing bits of information in my knowledge, but some universities do prefer a history degree. It is always best to meet/email the coordinator and speak to them about your options

    Good Luck
