Should I email the manager directly?

There is an entry level finance job going where I work. I saw it on indeed.

It's well paying, and the requirements are GCSEs and accounts experience.

I have a degree and I have done the books at my small family car parts business.

Do you think I should email the manager and explain myself. Maybe just write a generic email with my CV and a cover letter. Just asking is there is entry level jobs and maybe I can be considered?
What are you explaining? Can't you just apply for the job?
Because it's from your business, if you know the manager or have some kind of relationship, I'd ask for a coffee with him as you saw the advert and you can find out more about it.

If that's not something you're comfortable doing, have you looked on your intranet to find this role ? If you apply internally, you often have an edge as biz prefer internal promotion to bringing outsiders (often for the wrong reasons though)... either way, give it your best shot and good luck!

Why on earth would you write a generic email? Find the manager, find the job advert in the business and make a fully tailored application. Ignore Indeed.
