Architecture RIBA Part II Funding for EU Student

Hi there,

I am an EU citizen and I have completed my Part 1 in Architecture in Ireland.

I have been offered a Part 2 course in England.

However my university have advised me that SFE do not consider me eligible for a tuition loan because I have already graduated from an undergraduate course.

Surely this cannot be correct?

I know that Part 2 Architecture courses qualify for undergraduate funding as the five years of study are obligatory to qualify, thus they are viewed as a single course. But does this mean anyone entering the English funding system at Part 2 stage is not eligible?

I know many European students must be in the same situation and therefore SFE must have a process for this 'grey area'?

I have already submitted an 18N application and included a cover letter to explain but am still waiting to hear back.

Any advice would be appreciated
