Non mature biomed student (accommodation question)

Hi

I'm 20 and going to be studying biomedicine in the 2018-2019 year.

I'm wanting to live in student halls with a communal kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. It would be nice to know where the majority of Birkbeck students would be staying
Hey I’m wanting to know the same, I will be staring in October

You're the only person I've come across. I've tried posting on facebook groups but get no response. Looks like there won't be many of us

Congratulations on making it to Birkbeck. Studying in London will be one of the most exciting things you will experience in your academic career I promise. Being London the student accommodations with the university are always limited and not on of the best. You all must have a look at private student accommodations in London. These are brilliant and far more convenient. They have nicely furnished rooms, kitchen that is fully fitted so that you can prepare your meals conveniently. You will also be living with other students which is great for socialising and getting to know other students. I assume you all are undergraduate students, so when making the booking you can put down in your preference that you will be liked to be placed with other 1st year students. This will also ensure that you share your space with more like-minded people. There are plenty of private student accommodations that are spread all across the city, you all need to look into the one that is closet to you. So that you are not unnecessarily traveling too much everyday. Living in Kings Cross would be a good idea if you are attending lectures in the Bloomsbury campus. You will be right across the tube station and the location is extremely central as well. Something that you will like. There are more available properties in this area and more around Stratford campus, so if you want you can also compare the properties on unilodgers.com. Now if you are looking for not student accommodation but private home share then you will be able to find some on gumtree, studentsspareroom.co.uk or simply google. These might come across a little cheaper than the student accommodations but you will find all kinds of flatmates. For example they could be working professionals as well. This might dampen your uni life spirit a little bit, so think wisely before you put down your deposit.
