There is no need to be preparing years in advance. The only advice I can give you is to enjoy your free time while you have it

You might think that I'm sorta crazy. I'm really not. A family member has started preparing when he was in year 9, and aced his Cambridge interview, the interviewers asked him how come is he so chilled out, and he told them that he did it soooo many times it became normal to him. He also got a 7 and an 8 on the two BMAT sections plus a 4.5A. Not to mention that he scored 3 thousand and something in his UKCAT as well as band 1. So obviously preparing early doesn't disadvantage you.
I have PLENTY of free time. I have been organised like that since I was little. I like to study a lot, there is not harm in that. I read books as a hobby and I also play tennis with 3 of my friends. I don't want to leave it close until the interview day. Because alongside school work, I would also have to prepare for interview, and it's going to be very difficult if I haven't prepared enough already. I'm aiming to ace my grades hopefully and therefore I will have no trouble getting into uni (as long as my PS is good as well as my BMAT & UKCAT (fingers crossed))

If my offer is ABB for medicine and I get A*AC, do you think they will still let me in?
Email admissions and ask.
If you are A*A why do you think you will get a C in your other subject?

Idk which accommodation to choose????? defo wanna go for ensuite but it'll likely be a basic ensuite because i dont wanna be broke lol. Which college is closest to the lecture theatres and is there a specific college which most medics go to? i dont wanna be left out of the loop lol

the accomodatiom in campus is very well looked after so even if you get a standard room, its really not anywhere near what you expect. ive been in standard accomodation, i loved it and i think its the best value for money.the rooms are a lot bigger and your toilet is regualrly cleaned and toilet paper is provided. if you want ro go basic on suit, i think bowland collage offer it and you tend to share a kitchen with 2 flatmates, which s pretty depressing if you want a big flat and want to socialise. there's no particular college that most medics pick, all the medics are spread out but there tend to be more medics in furness college because its closest to lecture halls. fyld is also very close.

whoa thank you so much for this! didn't realise that you share a kitchen w/ 2-3 people, thats not great for me as i'd prefer it shared w/ around 7 others. there are so many pros and cons to each accommodation type! i was wondering whether there are multiple flats in each building and if so are you allowed to mingle with people from other flats in your building, e.g. use their kitchen and toilet facilities - is that normal lol? i think that would kinda defeat the whole 2-3 people in your flat situation. currently im more learning towards the 'standard accommodation'. did you stay in the 'standard accommodation' or basic standard/superior standard? sorry a lot of questions but i just wanna be really sure, hope thats okay with you.

of course people in the flats in the same buildings inter-mingle. i haven't really had that experence because i havent had the time to get to know everyone in my building. it would be hard to use eachothers toilets and kitchens because you nees a key to acess the flats but also its a bit wierd using a random flats toilet lol
obviously if youre close friends, its alright but you dont really need to use other people's facilities.
my advice is, as a medic, you spend the most time with the people that you live with so maximise that oppertunity. if you like being around a lot of people, choose accomodation that will make your living comfortable and give you a lot of flat mates.
if i had to do this again, i would have chosen pendle, grizdale or county standard accomodation because you have more flat mates and bigger kitchens compares to furness college. i absolutely do not recommend basic standard accommodation, its the accomodation of nightmares and its not worth the price. its a horror, avoid at all costs.
superior standard accommodation is essentially like a general standars room but you share with around 11-12 people (more people), have a huge kitchen and some socialising space. i love the superior standards, especially ash house. theyre built like townhousrs. its absolutely beautiful inside and i personally think theyre better than townhouse.
overall, in terms of value for money, i reccomend pendle standard (general standard room) because the rooms are bigger than onsuits, its cheaper than superior standard rooms and they were all refurbished last year, so the rooms are a lot newer and nicer than the other standard rooms. its also very very close to where you will have most of your lectures next year and a short walk to the library.
have a look at all the accomodation types including the superior standard.
good luck! and i apologise for any typos, im exhausted.
