My a levels are A*ABC (history, biology, chem and maths respectively). i have achieved them , im waiting for a remark for maths to come back as i was one mark off a B.
I am a contextual applicant for most unis (ucat bursary, sixth form bursary, free school meals, low income household, polar 4 quintile 2)
my ucat is 2630 b1
the following unis have said they will accept my b in chem for a contextual offer:
sheffield
brighton and sussex
anglia ruskin
newcastle
nottingham
Manchester/access to manchester
lincoln
leeds (if i do the access course i believe)
lancaster
hull york (im not sure about this but i think so)
based on this, do you guys advise me to resit chemistry so i have higher chances with an A*AA for my first three subjects, with an A in chemistry? or, as a contextual applicant, shall i just stick to my b in chemistry? my issue is i don't have extenuating circumstances so it's a matter of justifying my resits. i was thinking of applying to aston but im not sure if 'discontinuity of teachers' would be taken seriously as an explanation, my teachers did switch but it wasn't anything serious other than their bad teaching.
would really appreciate some advice asap!
