Laptop vs Handwritten notes for uni?

Do more students use laptops in lectures for taking notes or do most just write them down? On one hand, using a laptop will mean notes will be quicker and easier to write and organise. However, laptops can be v pricey and also can be annoying to carry around. Which one do you think is better? X
If you’re a fast typer I’d recommend typing them up just because it’s easier in lectures. But make concise handwritten revision notes from that later on. I personally handwrite all my lecture notes because I feel like I learn better that way, but you could always try doing both and see which you prefer?
You can get a reasonable office laptop for under £100, another £20 for an SSD if you want it to work faster and install Linux Mint (looks very similar to Windows and very noob friendly) if you want it to be extra fast and come with all the office programs you'll need.
