The University has a website with university-approved private accommodation. Have you taken a look at this?
It's called 'plymunihomes', the link is here: https://www.plymunihomes.uk/Accommodation. This will prevent you from living anywhere the University hasn't approved! Please let me know if you have any further questions

I would absolutely recommend “The Old Dairy”
Beautiful accommodation, highly worth the money.
Astor House is also lovely, however it is slightly further from the Student Village.

agree - the old dairy is v nice, don't bother going for beckley point - it's really close to campus but it's so expensive, not worth it

Im going into a private house in my first year, can link you if you'd like. £90-ish a week and the landlady is lovely
